Proposed Solution

Every child is different, meaning that every child will need different types of treatment and interaction in order to perform better socially in the school environment. Finding what suits your child best can be a difficult task and that is why we are providing this enjoyable free app, where children can experience pleasure from and not feel like there is a lot of discipline involved.

 

The app uses entertaining, lively and colourful cartoon characters where your child can interact with a parent’s help. The app uses gamification in the form of everyday soxial scena Our app is mostly directed at children from the ages of 6-9 years old as it contains little text. However, if any other age group would like to be involved in this fun progress app, they are more than welcome with a parent’s help.

Powell et al. (2017) suggested that four themes were focused on by clinicians and parents when it came to using an app for children with ADHD. These four themes were

1.The importance of relating to the app

2. Apps that address ADHD-related difficulties

3. How the apps can affect family relationships

4. Apps as an educational tool

 

Children with ADHD are at risk of developing depression, Posner et al. (2014).

(Robins, Hendin & Trzesniewski, 2001) mentioned that there is a relationship between self-esteem and life satisfaction by explaining that our practical needs and psychometric concerns are linked.

 

It has been suggested that life events (moving school, house etc.), environment (stressful, peaceful, supportive etc.) and relationships (empowering friendships, close family etc.) whether they are good or bad, they still impact on an individual’s self-esteem and life satisfaction leading to many different outcomes, like depression if they are surrounded by stressful events for example, (Dumont & Provost, 1999).
